Peoria Wilds, not-for-profit

The mission of Peoria Wilds is to ensure the protection and restoration of biologically diverse habitats and ecosystems through volunteer stewardship of our remaining natural areas.

Peoria Wilds is a local grassroots organization dedicated to the restoration of biological diversity in the Peoria area.  Volunteers remove woody brush, collect and sow seed, monitor vegetation and butterflies, research local presettlement conditions, educate the public, and perform prescribed burns.  Restoration sites are all publicly  owned by either  the Peoria Park District or  Springdale Cemetery  Management Authority.

Join us at any one of our regular workdays; no experience is necessary.  Just dress appropriately to do outside work; jeans and work gloves are highly recommended.  Be sure to bring your own bottle of drinking water.

The Peoria Park District and The Nature Conservancy assist Peoria Wilds in its mission.
